Literacy:
The MarcoPolo literacy curriculum immerses the learner in a text-rich digital environment. The curriculum targets a wide range of skill levels, from emergent readers to advanced learners. Learners are propelled by their curiosity to learn more about the content of the text as they gain skills in the following areas:

-Digraphs and Blends
-Handwriting/ Letter Formation
-High Frequency/ Sight Words

Math:
Our math curriculum exposes the learner to mathematical activities that develop number sense so that your child will not only recognize numbers, but also be able to use them with ease and apply them in a real-world context. The math curriculum includes:
-Number Recognition
-Geometry
-Subitizing
-Number Sequencing
-Addition and Subtraction Facts
-Counting in Ones and Groups (5s and 10s)*

STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics):
Exploration is at the core of the science experience in the MarcoPolo World School. The main objective is to promote the notion that knowledge can be gained through exploration of the world around us. The characters model curiosity consistent with the development of scientific literacy and practices of science (i.e. experimenting, making models, supporting claims with evidence). Our rich curriculum includes exploration of:

Social Studies*:
MarcoPolo offers a rich social studies curriculum to allow children to see how familiar concepts from their everyday lives manifest themselves around the world. They will learn about themselves, as well as gain knowledge of others. Topics include:
-Holidays and Traditions
-Geography
-Music and Arts
-Major Historical Events
-Ancient Civilizations
-Famous Historical Figures
-Resources around the World

Social-Emotional Learning:
The MarcoPolo curriculum is designed to facilitate your child’s social-emotional development and create the framework and mental process that will later allow them to plan, make positive decisions, focus, multi-task, have self-control and establish healthy social connections. To do this, the learner:
-Interacts with diverse characters that model positive social behaviors
-Is encouraged by narrators using process-oriented speech
-Develops skills in short-term memory through various games
-Is exposed to transferable language that can be applied to everyday life experiences to help with conflict resolution, perseverance and acceptance of differences

-Payment will be charged to your iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase.
-Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
-Account will be charged for renewal within the 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
-The user may manage subscriptions & may turn off auto-renewal by going to Account Settings after purchase.
-Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to MarcoPolo World School.
